Nuevo León is home base for CreativeIT. Our laboratory is located at Revolución 3866, Fraccionamiento Torremolinos, in Monterrey, and from there we support an industrial economy that reaches well beyond the state capital. Monterrey’s traditional strengths in steel, glass, cement and beverages now sit alongside appliance, HVAC and auto parts manufacturers, plus a wave of new plants in industrial parks in Apodaca, Escobedo, Santa Catarina, Salinas Victoria and Ciénega de Flores driven by nearshoring.

Every new building starts with substations, feeders and grounding systems that must be tested before energization, and every mature plant needs predictive maintenance to keep output steady. Both stages call for traceable measurements and reports that hold up in a customer audit or an inspection by STPS, Mexico’s labor and workplace safety ministry.

Nuevo León’s industrial profile and testing needs

  • Steel and metalworking: induction furnaces, presses and welding equipment that generate harmonics and stress transformers.
  • Glass, cement and beverages: continuous processes with large motors, compressors and filling lines where downtime is expensive.
  • Appliances and HVAC: dielectric strength and electrical safety testing of finished products.
  • Auto parts and electronics: functional validation of modules and IATF 16949 requirements for measurement traceability.
  • New nearshoring plants: commissioning tests on medium-voltage cable, grounding and protection systems.

Core services for plants in the state

Newly built facilities typically start with ground resistance testing per NOM-022-STPS, Mexico’s standard for static electricity and grounding in workplaces, and VLF testing of XLPE cable insulation before energizing. In operating plants, three-phase power quality analysis with a Fluke 435 II helps explain drive trips, overheating transformers and power factor penalties from CFE, the national utility.

For automotive and electronics suppliers we offer functional validation and early failure detection for automotive electronics. Machining and stamping shops rely on CNC electronic board repair to get controls running again without waiting on imported spares. For corporate and logistics parks installing chargers, we provide EV charging system diagnostics.

For plants running welding cells, presses or furnaces around the clock, these services are often combined into a single annual maintenance campaign, so that grounding, cable insulation and power quality data are collected together and compared year over year.

If your site is in the capital itself, see our Monterrey page, which focuses on lab-based services.

The advantage of a lab in your own state

Because we are based in the metro area, coordinating with Nuevo León plants is straightforward. Our engineers come on-site to any municipality, from the metro area out to Linares, Montemorelos or Sabinas Hidalgo, and you can also bring samples, boards or instruments directly to the lab. Rental equipment is delivered within the state or shipped elsewhere in Mexico if your company runs sister plants.

Testing is documented with photos and video and, when your protocol requires it, performed with your staff present. Reports include the work plan, the protocol and results interpreted by the engineer who took the measurements, with NIST traceability.

Frequently asked questions

Where is your laboratory in Nuevo León?

Our laboratory is at Revolución 3866, Fraccionamiento Torremolinos, in Monterrey. We perform lab testing, electronic board repair and materials characterization there. You can ship or drop off samples and instruments, and our engineers also travel to perform on-site testing at plants across the state.

Do you perform commissioning tests at new plants in Apodaca, Escobedo or Salinas Victoria?

Yes. We visit industrial parks throughout Nuevo León to test medium-voltage cable with VLF, measure grounding per NOM-022-STPS-2015 and verify protection systems before energization. You receive a documented report you can share with your contractor, insurer or corporate engineering team.

Can you repair the control board of a CNC machine at my plant in Santa Catarina?

Yes. We perform component-level repair of CNC electronic boards at our Monterrey lab. You can bring the board in or ship it; our engineers diagnose and repair it and keep you updated with same-day replies on how the analysis is progressing.
