What the service covers
Leakage current is a critical parameter in the electrical safety of mains-connected equipment and medical devices. With the LT-601 our engineers evaluate the most relevant configurations:
- Leakage current through the equipment’s ground conductor.
- Leakage current from surface or patient to ground.
- Current between contact points (patient to patient).
The instrument incorporates impedance networks that reproduce the electrical behavior of the human body in accordance with IEC 60601, EN 60601, CSA 601 and UL 2601. It measures on a 200 µA range with 1 µA resolution and a 2000 µA range with 10 µA resolution, with an accuracy of ±1% of full scale. It accepts equipment under test powered at 100–120 or 200–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz, with a maximum current of 15 A.
