Jalisco is much more than its metropolitan area. Outside Guadalajara, the state’s economy rests on the tequila industry in the Valles and Los Altos regions, one of Mexico’s largest dairy and poultry basins, export agriculture such as berries, avocado and vegetables in the south, and tourism in Puerto Vallarta and along the coast. Each of these sectors runs electrical and mechanical equipment under demanding conditions.
A distillery depends on boilers, mills and pumps; a poultry farm on non-stop ventilation and refrigeration; a beach resort on switchboards and pumps that live with humidity. In every case, spotting deterioration before failure costs far less than an emergency repair. Many of these sites are far from any service center, which makes a well-planned diagnosis that can be completed in a single visit even more valuable.
Rural feeders add another layer. Plants at the end of long distribution lines often see low voltage, sags during storms and phase imbalance, all of which shorten motor life and trip drives. Measuring those conditions is the first step toward deciding whether the fix belongs inside the plant or with the utility, CFE, Mexico’s state power company.
Sectors and their testing needs
- Tequila distilleries: agave shredders and mills, juice pumps and boilers whose pressure gauges and instruments must be calibrated.
- Dairy and poultry in Los Altos: fan motors, milking systems and cooling compressors running day and night.
- Export agriculture in the south: cold rooms and packing facilities with large refrigeration loads and, increasingly, their own solar arrays.
- Hotels and coastal developments: rooftop solar, standby generators and grounding in sandy soil.
- Metropolitan manufacturing and electronics: covered in detail on our electrical testing in Guadalajara page.
Recommended services in Jalisco
Vibration analysis in acceleration, velocity and displacement is the most direct way to monitor mills, fans and pumps at distilleries and farms. In boiler areas, calibration of pressure gauges, transmitters and hydraulic systems makes sure pressure readings can be trusted.
For motors and cables working in humid environments we offer insulation resistance testing of cables and windings, and for coastal sites and new developments, ground resistance testing.
Packing houses and hotels that have invested in solar can verify output with photovoltaic system and solar panel testing. If you would rather log consumption with your own staff, we offer power quality analyzer rental.
How we serve Jalisco from Monterrey
We work from our Monterrey laboratory and have no facilities in Jalisco. Our engineers travel to the plant, farm or hotel whenever a test must be done on site, and during harvest peaks or high season we plan visits so they do not get in the way of operations.
Gauges and transmitters can be shipped to the lab for calibration against NIST-traceable standards, and rental analyzers and meters ship to any municipality in the state. Every job includes a work plan, protocol and photo and video evidence, and the test can be performed with your maintenance lead present.
