We have this device capable of performing ground measurements. Ground measurement refers to evaluating the electrical resistance or resistivity of the soil at a specific location. This measurement is essential in electrical and grounding systems to ensure the safety and efficiency of the system.
We have the Fluke 1630 clamp meter, a compact and rugged tool that enables non-intrusive leakage current measurement for ground loop testing.
It features a wide ground loop resistance range, from 0.025 Ω to 1500 Ω7
Measures ground leakage current, from 0.2 mA to 1000 mA, without the need to disconnect
Measures AC current from 0.2 A to 30 A
The clamp-on ground test technique provided by the Fluke 1630 simplifies ground loop testing and allows non-intrusive leakage current measurement without breaking the circuit. Its compact, rugged design makes the Fluke 1630 easy to use in small spaces and harsh environments. Practical functions such as “display hold” and continuity testing with an audible alarm provide additional convenience.
Stakeless test system
The Fluke 1630 uses the stakeless test method, which eliminates the need to disconnect parallel ground rods and find suitable locations for placing auxiliary ground stakes. This saves time and allows users such as industrial and utility electricians, and field service contractors and electricians, to perform ground loop tests in locations where other techniques cannot be used, such as inside buildings or on high-voltage towers. With the stakeless test method, ground stakes are no longer needed. The Fluke 1630 earth ground clamp is clamped around the ground rod or the connecting cable. One half of the clamp induces a known voltage and the other half measures the current. The tester automatically determines the ground loop resistance at this ground connection.
