Morelos pairs a compact industrial base with an unusually strong scientific community. CIVAC, the industrial city of the Cuernavaca valley in Jiutepec, hosts pharmaceutical, chemical and automotive plants. Cuernavaca and its surroundings are home to university campuses and research institutes, while the east and south of the state still run sugar mills, ornamental plant nurseries and farms that supply central Mexico.

That mix produces two very different kinds of demand: electrical and mechanical maintenance for plants and mills on one side, and fine laboratory measurements for research projects, materials development and product validation on the other.

Morelos sectors and their testing profile

  • Pharma and chemicals in CIVAC: temperature sensor calibration for validated processes, equipment stability under controlled conditions, and panel safety.
  • Automotive and suppliers: substation, grounding and motor maintenance on production lines.
  • Research and universities: electrical characterization of materials, capacitors and inductors, and short-term access to instruments the lab does not own.
  • Sugar mills: crushers, centrifuges, pumps and turbines that should be checked before every harvest campaign.
  • Nurseries, greenhouses and water parks: pumping, lighting and grounding in installations surrounded by water and humidity.

Services that make the most sense in Morelos

For research groups and R&D teams, characterization of capacitors, inductors and resistors and electrical resistivity, conductivity and permittivity analysis provide measured data across a wide frequency range, useful for publications, supplier comparisons or validating a new material.

Pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers that need to expose samples to controlled temperature and humidity can use our laboratory climatic chamber. For thermometers, thermocouples and RTDs we offer temperature sensor calibration with a dry-block calibrator and reference standard.

At sugar mills, Fluke 810 vibration analyzer rental lets in-house staff check crushers and pumps during the pre-harvest overhaul. At plants and water parks, ground resistance and lightning rod testing supports compliance with NOM-022-STPS-2015, Mexico’s grounding and static electricity standard. Labs can also rent oscilloscopes and power supplies and signal generators.

How we serve Morelos from Monterrey

CreativeIT operates from its Monterrey laboratory and has no facilities in Morelos. Much of the work for this state is handled by shipping samples: components, materials, sensors or prototypes arrive by courier, are measured in the lab, and the results come back in a report with work plan, protocol, photos and video.

When a test has to happen at the plant or mill, our engineers travel to Morelos and take the measurements themselves, with no subcontractors. Rental equipment ships calibrated, with NIST traceability, to Cuernavaca, Jiutepec, Cuautla or any other municipality.

For researchers, the benefit is working with an engineer who understands the measurement method and can discuss the results. We answer inquiries the same day, and measurements can be witnessed when a project calls for it.

Frequently asked questions

Can you measure the permittivity of a material developed at a Morelos research center?

Yes. Researchers can ship solid or liquid samples to our Monterrey lab. We measure permittivity, conductivity or resistivity using dedicated test fixtures over the frequency range the project requires, and deliver the data with a report describing the method, measurement conditions and photographic evidence.

Do your engineers visit CIVAC plants and sugar mills in Morelos?

Yes. We travel from Monterrey to plants in Jiutepec, Cuernavaca and the rest of the state for grounding, insulation, power quality and vibration testing. At sugar mills we recommend scheduling the visit during the pre-harvest overhaul, when equipment is accessible and problems can still be fixed.

Do you calibrate temperature sensors for pharmaceutical processes?

We calibrate thermocouples, RTDs and thermometers with a dry-block calibrator and a reference thermometer that is calibrated periodically with NIST traceability. Sensors are shipped to the lab and returned with a report listing the test points, readings and the error found at each one.
