The RCP500 Rogowski AC current probe measures AC current up to 500 A pk, down to 200 mA pk, with bandwidth ranging from 15 Hz to 300 KHz, 1% accuracy, and less than 2 mV of noise.
It uses the Rogowski coil current measurement system: within range, the system’s output signal and the current signal being measured are always linear, so accuracy does not change with current.
The Rogowski coil contains no ferromagnetic materials, with no magnetic core or saturation phenomenon and no heating problems. And the phase difference between the output signal and the current waveform is extremely low, possibly under 0.8°.
The RCP500 has a compact design with an elegant appearance, suitable for the UPI multifunction probe interface; when used with certain newer oscilloscopes, no additional battery or power supply is needed. It can also be used with the adapter to fit oscilloscopes from any other manufacturer.
AC current probes can measure current signals with complex waveforms, such as inrush transient currents of power devices, sinusoidal currents of three-phase power supply systems, harmonic components of measured currents, and current measurement of IGBTs and MOSFETs, etc.
