Robustness, High Performance and Deep Vacuum for Demanding Industrial and Laboratory Applications.
Looking for a reliable, powerful vacuum pump ready for continuous duty in the laboratory or in industry?
The Alcatel Pascal Series is the ideal solution.
Equipped with a CF29PR 60/4 motor, this two-stage vacuum pump offers:
-
High pumping performance
-
Excellent ultimate pressure (~10⁻³ to 10⁻⁴ mbar)
-
Continuous, stable operation
-
Low vibration and noise levels
-
Simple maintenance and long service life
The Alcatel Pump belongs to the well-known Pascal series, recognized for its reliability and excellent value for money in the vacuum market. It is an oil-lubricated rotary vane pump designed to deliver a high-level ultimate vacuum at no load and a generous pumping rate, making it perfect for applications that require fast, efficient pumping from atmospheric pressure down to medium vacuum.
It offers a constant pumping speed of 60 m³/h over a wide pressure range, from 1000 mbar down to approximately 1 mbar. Below 1 mbar, the speed falls off gradually until it reaches the ultimate vacuum, ensuring excellent efficiency in processes that require high speed at medium pressures.
The pump has an integrated gas ballast system. It consists of a valve that allows controlled admission of air (or inert gas) into the second compression stage.
-
What is it for? To prevent condensation of vapors (such as water or solvents) inside the pump. If these vapors condense, they contaminate the oil and reduce the vacuum.
-
When to use it? While pumping down humid chambers or at the start, when a lot of vapor is released. Once the process stabilizes, it can be closed to reach the maximum vacuum.
We have a Pfeiffer OME 25 HP Oil Mist Eliminator
-
Function:
High-efficiency filter at the pump’s exhaust outlet. -
Key Benefit:
Captures the microscopic oil particles (mist) that the pump generates during operation, preventing them from being expelled into the environment. -
Result:
Eliminates odors and health risks to personnel.
Cost savings: The captured oil can be drained and reused (on many models), reducing consumption.
Clean maintenance: Prevents contamination of other piping and equipment connected to the pump outlet.
Why rent this pump instead of another?
Alcatel Vacuum Technology is a brand with more than 50 years of history in the vacuum sector. The Pascal series is considered one of the most reliable rotary vane pump lines ever built, with thousands of units still operating after 30 years of service.
-
Built with long-lasting materials.
-
Thanks to its gas ballast system, it handles water vapor without condensing it in the oil.
-
Designed for quick access to internal parts (replacing vanes, valves and seals).
-
Ideal for noise-sensitive installations.
-
The Pascal series has been the industry standard for decades.
Comparison
-
Vs. Dry Pumps: Unlike dry pumps (which are more expensive), this lubricated pump is more tolerant of particles and vapors in general industrial applications, and its initial and maintenance costs are significantly lower.
-
Vs. Edwards E2M40 (direct competitor): The Alcatel is usually more compact and quieter than equivalent models from other brands, although with very similar vacuum performance.
Recommended Applications
This vacuum pump is ideal for a wide range of industrial and scientific applications such as:
-
Analytical equipment (GC/MS, LC/MS mass spectrometry)
-
Electron microscopy
-
Vacuum sterilization and drying
-
Vacuum packaging in the laboratory
-
Chemical and petrochemical processes
-
General vacuum instrumentation
The Pascal series complies with the European Low Voltage (LVD) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) directives, ensuring safe operation in industrial and laboratory environments.
Standards Compliance
The pump complies with ISO 1607-1 for standardized pumping speed measurement, ensuring reliable, internationally comparable technical data. ISO 1607-1 is the international standard that establishes the method for measuring pumping speed in positive displacement vacuum pumps, such as two-stage rotary vane pumps.
The vacuum pump is equipped with a three-phase electric motor that meets the energy efficiency requirements established in NOM-014-ENER-2018 (Mexican energy efficiency standard for electric motors), ensuring optimized power consumption, reduced energy losses and reliable performance in industrial applications.
Pump performance is verified in accordance with ISO 21360, ensuring accurate measurements of pumping speed and ultimate pressure under international standards. ISO 21360 is the international standard that defines the test and verification methods for vacuum pump performance, including the accurate determination of:
-
Pumping speed
-
Ultimate pressure (final pressure)
-
Performance curves
-
Energy consumption
-
Test conditions
Documentation of results:
Every test is delivered with a technical report that includes pressure values reached, evacuation times, images of the setup, vacuum stability records and technical comments on the performance of the device under evaluation. This gives our customers precise, traceable evidence for engineering validations, quality control, product design and pre-industrial verifications.
